Yesterday, Thursday May 12th, 2005,  we were honored by a visit from Tohono O’odham chairwoman Vivian Juan-Saunders. During a recent TV program, Chairwoman Saunders shared her views on education.

Mrs. Jaun-Saunders had a productive meeting with principal Keith Greer and witnessed the election of Jackelyn Jesus as the new president of the AMERIND Club and Tim James as the new vice-president. Chairwoman Saunders also visited students at Desert Winds High School and met with principal Edna Morris. We hope this was the first of many visits to the AMERIND Club.

We are now busy setting up the public displays for our Arizona Heritage Grant presentation in Tempe at the Arizona Historical Society on May 18th, 2005.
